I am keying in the ISBN number and ScanLister finds the book, but when I attempt to list it on Half.com, I get the follwing error: eBay.Service.Core.Sdk.ApiException: Could not find a matching product for the given input. Please provide valid values.

Why do I need to install the .NET Framework?

I installed ScanLister and got to step 4 of the setup wizard. After clicking Finish, nothing happens. I click Finish again and it says, An existing project already exists on this folder, please select another folder. How do I get past step 4?

Q. I have more than one of the same item. Can I list the same one twice?

A. Yes. Just scan the item once more into your inventory and repeat the listing process. Half.com will automatically recognize the same ISBN or UPC number and add a second matching item to your online inventory.

Q. How will I know when an item I listed sells?

A. You will receive an email from Half.com once an item sells. It will also be listed in your account sales summary page when you login to Half.com. Once any inventory item sells, the Refresh option under the Listing menu will move the item from the Active Listings tab to the Sold Items.

Q. Will ScanLister list my inventory to Ebay and Amazon?

A. Currently, ScanLister only works with Half.com. The next release will allow you to list directly to Ebay. A plug-in is currently under development that will allow your items to be uploaded to Amazon.com. This updated version will be free to all existing customers.

Q. I scanned an item into the wrong category. Can I switch it?

A. Yes. Simply left click on the item and hold the mouse down while you drag it to the correct category on the left.

Q. I am keying in the ISBN number and ScanLister finds the book, but when I attempt to list it on Half.com, I get the follwing error: eBay.Service.Core.Sdk.ApiException: Could not find a matching product for the given input. Please provide valid values.

A. This occurs if the ISBN number has dashes in it. Re-enter the number without the dashes and it should list fine.

Q. Why do I need to install the .NET Framework?

A. ScanLister uses the latest software from Microsoft to assure the highest levels of security and efficiency for all online communication. The .NET Framework will need to be installed prior to the installation of ScanLister.

Q. Will ScanLister run on an Apple Mac?

A. Sorry, ScanLister currently runs only on Windows based PCs. Future upgrades will include an iPhone App.

A. There is a known bug with some versions of Windows Vista. A new version will be released soon resolving this issue. Here is a workaround to get it going: 1) Go to your C drive and open up your Program Files folder 2) Open up the ScanLister folder 3) Right click on the ScanLister file (the one with barcode icon) and choose Run As Administrator It will ask you to confirm your choice and then ScanLister should run normally.
